Turkish Rugs

Turkish rugs are known for their patterns, harmonious colors and elegance. Made in Turkey, a country with a long esteemed tradition of rug making dating back thousands of years.  They contrast with intricate Persian designs, in which patterns often interact with one another in subtle dissonances and resolutions.  With stylized geometric patterns or floral designs that are often inspired by nature, culture, or ancient tradition they add an impact to any home.  From various weave types such as a flat weave kilim to double knotted hand woven pieces, Turkish rugs are well known for their quality and sturdiness. Using natural materials sourced locally, Turkish rugs are prized for their durability, softness, and dense sturdy pile that can withstand heavy foot traffic.  Often these rugs have vibrant diverse color pallets derived from natural dyes resulting in hues that age beautifully over time.  Add warmth, color, and character to any interior space with one of our timeless Turkish pieces.

These rugs are crafted using high-quality wool sourced from local sheep. Artisans employ natural plant and vegetable dyes to give the wool with vibrant hues.

How to wash a Turkish rug?

We recommend vacuuming on the lowest suction setting and to vacuum on both sides.

If there is a spill you can spot clean by blotting the area with a dry cloth to absorb as much liquid as possible. Then mix a small amount of mild soap or detergent with water and test the solution in a small area to ensure it doesn't cause discoloration. If there is none then using a sponge or cloth blot the area with the solution then blot with clean water to rinse then blot with a dry towel to absorb excess water.

For deep cleaning, we highly recommend utilizing professional services, and Jubin Rugs is the ideal choice for this. Our reputable team, with years of experience in the cleaning and repair of hand-woven rugs, ensures the highest standards of care and expertise.
